What we do
We know dirt. Better than anyone.
Noyen started with a single excavator in 1964. Sixty years later, we operate a fleet of 150+ heavy equipment units with the capacity to move over 5 million cubic metres of earth across Alberta every year. That is not a claim — it is a track record built one project at a time, over six decades. We do civil earthworks, and we do it better than anyone in the province. Road building, industrial development, landfill construction, land reclamation, drainage, railway — we have the equipment, the people, and the expertise to take on any scope, any complexity, any timeline. When other contractors turn a project down, we are the company that gets the call. Before a single machine moves, our project managers are already working. We review every drawing, model every site using GPS machine control and 3D modeling technology, and map out the most efficient, cost-effective path forward — in collaboration with our clients and their engineers. Problems get solved before they happen. That is how we protect your timeline and your budget. We are Albertan. We have been since day one. We understand this province's soils, its seasons, its regulations, and the standards that Alberta's owners and engineers demand. We do not cut corners, we do not miss deadlines, and we do not walk away from a challenge. That is who we are, and it is why our clients keep coming back.

09
Drone Scanning and Surveying
Noyen has invested in drone scanning and surveying technology to give our clients something most contractors cannot — real data, in near real-time, at every stage of their project. Using Propeller's cloud-based platform, we fly regular drone surveys of active job sites and process the imagery into precise, survey-grade 3D maps and models. The result is a living digital record of your site that you can access from anywhere, at any time, to track progress, verify quantities, resolve disputes, and make faster, better-informed decisions.
Our drone program is not just about collecting data. It is about using that data to actively add value. We use photogrammetry and drone mapping to support value engineering, identify opportunities to optimize earthworks sequencing, and provide our clients and their consulting engineers with independent, verifiable quantity tracking throughout the project lifecycle. No more waiting for month-end surveys. No more disputes over how much material moved. The numbers are there, timestamped, and accurate.
Scope of work includes
- Regular drone surveys and high-resolution aerial photography
- Photogrammetry processing — aerial imagery converted to precise 3D maps and models
